Restautant Review: Spice Kitchen Kök & Bar, Kungälv, Sweden

Location is central but I wouldn’t call it especially cosy and it doesn’t have any views. But its in a okay building and the interior is okay, Most of the interior is black and its a pretty small place but that’s not why I stop by here. It’s the taste of the food that’s the thing about this place.

To be honest this is the best Thai food in Kungälv if you ask me and it also keeps a very high standard compared to al the Thai food I’ve eaten. I would say that it’s even among the best so if you pass by I could easy recommend it just because of the food. But I have only eaten take away from this place.

Roller Coaster: Superman Escape From Krypton, Six Flags Magic Mountain

I got to admit that I’ve never been more afraid of going on a roller coaster than this one and I had not planed to go on it but as I built up my roller coaster confidence during the day I went. What a ride, this is the only roller coaster ever that made me scream out of pure joy on adrenaline ever.

This 126 meters high and 167 km/h fast roller coaster is beyond anything else I ever tried before. This is excitement and this is a thrill and I love speed in controlled forms and here you go from 0-167 km/h in 7 second, you 90 degrees right up into the sky in 126 meters and then fall back. This is something I can promise you that.

I would without a doubt recommend this if you dare to go on it and I rank it 5 out of 5 points. Amazing!

Attached a little video from TheCoasterViews on Youtube if you’re interested to check it out.

Book review: The girl in the spider’s web

I absolutely love the first three books in the millennium series. And since the last and fourth book came I thought of reading it but I haven’t got the time for it until now. And won’t spoil the book but write more in general terms of what I thought of it. I think the beginning isn’t that good to be honest it’s a bit slow and over all big what I’ve expected. But the then I really got in to the book and it really captured me. I think this is a really good book but when I’m thinking of why the only answer is the story. The characters is good but this book expects that you’ve read the earlier books. And doesen’t go that deep into the characters. Its different from the first three books but the main heart and soul i still there even if I would expected a bit more from this both in the start and the end of the book. Still a great book that I recommend and I give it 4 out 5 points.

World Cup 2016 Team Sweden, part 1

At Wednesday March 2 2016 the first 16 players where presented in New York, USA. I’m so looking forward to the World Cup tournament as a big hockey fan and specially these kind of tournaments.

Here are the 16 first players of Team Sweden or “Tre Kronor” as we say in Sweden. If you click in the players you get more information about them.

Henrik Lundqvist, New York Rangers
Jacob Markström, Vancouver Canucks

My comments of the selected goalies are not that much. Henrik Lundqvist will be the most important player of Team Sweden and will most likely play all the games if not he gets hurt which I don’t hope. However, Jacob Markström is a good goalie and have proven himself earlier when he played for Team Sweden but he is a bit of a surprise in this team. I had probably expected Eddie Läck if I’m totally honest. I think there will be a third goalie in this team that will be announced later and I think Eddie Läck, Anders Nilsson or Jonas Enroth is oin a good position to take that spot.

Oliver Ekman Larsson, Arizona Coyotes
Victor Hedman, Tampa Bay Lightning
Niklas Hjalmarsson, Chicago Blackhawks
Erik Karlsson, Ottawa Senators
Niklas Kronwall, Detroit Red Wings
Anton Strålman, Tampa Bay Lightning

My comments on the selected defenders are not that many. Sweden have produced wo many world class defenders the last couple of years and also many different kinds of them. I am a bit surprised that not John Klingberg is on the team but I also can see why at this point in his carrier. I think he is the Swedish defender that’s not selected yet that has the best possibilities to be a part of this team later on. To read the defenders that will play for Team Sweden is just amazing. Not many teams can compete with so many good defencemen (maybe Canada).

Nicklas Bäckström, Washington Capitals
Loui Eriksson, Boston Bruins
Filip Forsberg, Nashville Predators
Gabriel Landeskog, Colorado Avalanche
Daniel Sedin, Vancouver Canucks
Henrik Sedin, Vancouver Canucks
Alexander Steen, St. Louis Blues
Henrik Zetterberg, Detroit Red Wings

My comments on the selected Swedish forwards is probably as expected that we can see that many of them are a bit older and have proven themselves. But we can also see that there many names that are among the best in the NHL. In this setting I think they can create magic. The player I’m most excited to see plays is without no doubt Filip Forsberg. Then I am a big fan of Loui Eriksson who really have been loyal to Team Sweden for many years and might be one of the most underestimated Swedish forwards in my opinion.

Looking forward to see who else will become a part of this team.

A new prince is born

Wednesday evening when I arrived to Sweden the Swedish royal family got a new family member. A new prince was born on the evening of 2nd March 2016. The name of the new prince is Prince Oscar Carl Olof (Olof is by the way my middle name so now I got a royal name). This is a big event in the Kingdom of Sweden and especially for someone as me who like the royal family.

We also are expecting a new royal child later during this year. But for now we’re waiting for the baptism of the newly born prince. The baptism will most likely be boradcasted on the national broadcasting company SVT (The Swedish equivalent to the British BBC or Norwegian NRK).

The royal family in Sweden is more of marking things but also as an important part of keeping traditions and the Swedish history alive which I like. The prince will by the way be the 3rd in the royal in heritage line.

Weekend with my family

I’ve spent a few days in Sweden in order to attend a meeting as a member of the board in an live saving organization in Gothenburg and in order to spend some time with my family. It took me back to Sweden for a few days which where great but it also happend a lot in  Sweden during these days.

The first players of Team Swedens world cup team was annonced and a new royal prince was born into the Swedish royal family. Both events will get posts here on the blog soon.

But either way I had an amazing time home in Sweden together with my family and I got to spend time with both mom, dad, grandma and my friends M & K. So pretty full booked weekend but I was just what I needed. Will make a quick visit to Sweden next week as well but much quicker and in order to attend a funeral. So parts of the weekend will at least be in Oslo, Norway that is something that I also need from time to time just to be home here in Norway.

Tonight when I arrived I arrived to a cold, wet and snowy Oslo and i think it will get a bit warmer within the next few days. We will see about that.
