Worlds most weather obsessed people

Swedes are probably the most weather obsessed people in the world. Oh, the second most obsessed people about weather in the world, I forgot about the Norwegians. So the safest topic you can have with a Swedes about the weather. A classic phrase would for example be “What weather we are having” and the other one will respond.

We care a lot of the weather and we can talk about how it has been and how it will be and even how it is. And the most important of it all is the summer. This I probably because the Swedish summer weather could vary quite much. And the origin to this post is that amazing and probably among the best summer weathers we’ve ever had in Sweden.

There is probably only one other nationality that cares more about weather and that is the Norwegians, as I mentioned earlier. I’ve got Norwegian friends that plans where to go in Norway from day to day just in order to get the best possible weather. Another Norwegian friend says he loves all kinds of weather and when in rainy and stormy weather he just mentions it as “there is much weather today”.

I don’t know any other people that cares so much about the weather, do you? Any suggestions on another nationally that would be able to compete with the Norwegians and the Swedes?

App In The Air

Today I flew to Stockholm again this morning for a leadership course at work and took a flight back home to Gothenburg and every single time I use the app App in the air. Suprisingly, this might be one of my favorit apps and I will break it down for you and explain why.

  1. All the info I want!
Yes, that’s right. It gives me all the info that I want, when I need it. When the check-in closes, when boarding starts, what gate I need to be at, when it leaves, when I should arrive and delays of there i any. Just magnificent. This is just how I want technology to work.
  2. Tracks me
This might be scary to some people but I find in fantastict I can look back and see where and when I’ve been to different places in the world when I’ve been flying. I even gives me home many kilometers and how many hours I’ve spent flying. In fact it even tells me what plane models I’ve flue with and what airlines.
  3. Beautiful and Easy
The app is just beautiful and shows with great grapics the statistics and the trips I’ve done on a map and then there are small acheivments thats fun to reach and really simple and easy to use.

Bonus. It works with my Apple Watch which feeds me the most importat info that I want without even have to take my phone out of the pocket.

Hometown Memory Lane

Last night I biked through the city where I grew up and it was a surprisingly good warm feeling inside of me. A few years ago I probably felt a bit uncomfortable but now it where something else.

I biked back from a housewarming party that a coworkers girlfriend had with BBQ, beer, great people and a magical Swedish summer weather. Wether is by the way very important for us Swedes, probably only more important for the Norwegians, but that’s a totalt other blog post.

However, had a real great time last night and meet people from my hometown that I forgot about but that is real nice and somehow made me realize why I wanted to stay they forever when I was a kid. It’s a nice city and I somehow opened the door to some day maybe move back I think.

It’s a city that brought me a lot of great memories and friends. And after a couple of beers taking the bike back to moms apartment that I’ve borrowed for the night where a bit like being fifteen and on top of the world after a summer night out.

In short summary a real trip down memory lane in a modern and present day mode.
