Arrived in south of Sweden after a day at work together with old friends that lives down here. Amazing to be here and to catch up. Had an amazing evening hanging out with my oldest friend A and his girlfriend P and their amazing kids and my friend C. So A have made a magical BBQ buffet for us when we arrived and me and C had some nice beer with us. So first we spent some time playing with the kids and after they went to bed we adults had some beers and watched some hockey and talked,
However, now it’s bed time in order to be ready for the world championships of hockey tomorrow in Copenhagen where me A and C will spend the entire day. I’m so looking forward to it! Good night see you tomorrow!
Finally in Copenhagen and what I’ve been looking forward to this. So tonight have we checked in at Hotel Saga where we are staying this weekend.
After we had checked in we took a stroll down to the meet district that nowadays is a real cool district filled with cool restaurants. This the old meat district in Copenhagen. I was so impressed and I could go here many more times in order to try more restaurants.
However, we ended up at a place called BOB – BioMio Organic Bistro. Which looks like and old auto repair shop or an old hardware store from the outside. Interior and food as also amazing.
After the restaurant we called it a night in order to be well rested until the rest of the weekend.
Today have been a pretty strange day. I’ve been home since 16:15 which almost never happened. Had a meeting after work that got changed into a phone meeting so I got a lot of time that I haven’t expected.
So I made a home made meal (which I usually do but not like this) with steak and fries and a little glas is red Italian wine as I listened to podcasts about the NHL trade deadline, which where last night.
So I’m ready for a new week. Last weekend I where in Halmstad, blog post is coming on that one. And this upcoming weekend I’m heading to Oslo, Norway in order to spend some time with my wife. But first it’s and full week of work in front of me.
BAO Kitchen is located in the “old town” of down town Kungsbacka, Sweden. Rather close to the central station and Kungsbacka square. From what I know this is a rather new place that serves Asian fusion food.
The interior is probably best described as green and rustic with focus on nature and natural material such as wood. Not the most cosy vibe when I first looked in from the street but once you got in and got you table it was much better than expected and a nice relaxed vibe.
How about the food? I tried a bun meal and a salmon bowl. The buns where probably the best buns I’ve tried and the bowl where real good but not the best I’ve tried. Still very high class and this is without a doubt the best restaurant I’ve ever tried in Kungsbacka. The food where good, exciting and something new for me and as the same time high quality. Best restaurant in town! I highly recommend this place.
Tried this place for lunch a Saturday with my dad. Zocalo is located in the shopping mall Frölunda Torg which translates into Frölunda square. Service where good, not exceptional and not bad but just what you should expect.
The interior of the place is classic modern and stereotypical Mexican not the Swedish taco Mexican but the more real Mexican way. It had potential to really become great with some minor adjustment such as more vibrant color and so on but I didn’t. Despite all this the interior where over what I’ve expected from this place.
However, the real deal for lunch is the food. The menu where full of Mexican dishes and flavors but the taste where just not what I wanted. The food where barley okay. I would so much like to write something else but I just couldn’t.
This is to sum up a place that I would not recommend.
I’ve got two trips planned this spring and both are to Copenhagen, Denmark. There tow different kinds of trips and the first one will be already in March and the second one in May. The last one was book just a few hours ago so I’m super happy about it. Especially because I went to bed last night thinking the it would be a while before my next trip.
The first trip will be a family trip in order to celebrate my moms birthday together with my sister, her boyfriend V and off course my wife G. The plan is pretty simple, to hang out with my family to eat good food and have a relaxed and nice weekend. All tips for good restaurants and things to do are more than welcome. The second trip will be a hockey trip in order to see IIHF World Championships 2018. So an all day in Copenhagen in order to see three games with Team Sweden as the big game together with two friends. Me and Alexander that’s going to join have been watching and discussing all Hockey World Championships since 1992 together sp its kind of a big deal and its the first time we will watch any of the games live. Super excited about this one as well.
Now are both trips official. I just have to finalize the last details on these trips but I’m so looking forward to both of them. I visited Copenhagen in March 2015 last time and really started to like the city so, I’m real happy to go back.

Today me and G are celebrating early Christmas with her family. This so we get to celebrate Christmas together before me and G leave for Mexico.
It started already last night with Gs choirs Christmas concert in Majorstuen church where they performed a lot of Christmas songs. Was just perfect for getting the right vibe especially since the ground outside where covered in white snow.
So this morning starter out with some banana pancakes and after that we took a walk and did some shopping. I bought some accessories for my GoPro for the trip to Mexico and some sunscreen.
Then it’s was lunch and G made an amazing salmon salad with raw salmon marinated in lime.
Then we took a few hours to relax before we started making Christmas dinner and ate it and now it’s time for the Christmas gifts.
